Going back to Garmin

I thought I moved up by paying twice as much for my Ambit Peak 3 versus my previous Garmins. So far the app never syncs with my iPhone and the backup (i.e., Moveslink 2 app via cable to my Mac) doesnt work either. It may be less headaches to go back to Garmin or even a TomTom as Suunto techs dont seem to be in a hurry to fix the apps.

Terrible app

Bluetooth connection is spotty at best. Synchronization keeps failing so I cant upload my runs. My latest run was 25 miles but the map only shows the first 1.6. If Id have known that the app was so useless I may have gotten a different watch.

Bluetooth connectivity error

Lets fix this connectivity here thats keeping me from synchronizing my iPhone app with the watch. This is a basic feature that made me by the Ambit 3 just because of this! And now its not working! The latest error message now that I get to related to another issue is when I connect my watch to the computer so my moves can be synced, it is saying that there is a failure to sync the moves. Seriously?

Bluetooth

I am about a day away from returning my Ambit3 Sport. One of the main reasons to purchase this device doesnt work. I cannot pair and its a known issue with no fix date. As an app developer you have the new IOS before its release. To say it just sprung up is a joke. Poor job by Suunto to not test their app with all new IOS releases.

Wont sync

Cant get it to sync with Ambit 3 peak so its pretty much worthless.

No Sync with iphone

One of the features that make me take the decision to buy the Ambit3, Im seriously thinking in return it.

Problematic

Rarely pairs with my watch - have to unpair and then pair again. So leaves the only way to upload moves is through computer connection. Also the Upload of pictures not working properly (and you cant do that or movies from your computer?). The movie option is amazing though!

Doesnt work

Doesnt sync. Seriously guys, I hate garmin and want to love sunnto, but you make it hard when each new version is so buggy that it takes three updates to fix. You need to make sure the app is stable before releasing. I am not a beta tester, I paid a ton of money for my ambit3 and I expect it to work as advertised.

Awesome

I just bought the watch about a month ago and it synced great then I bought a new phone and it still syncs with no problems. Only thing I would like to see is the ability to edit my non exercise screens.

Bluetooth connectivity issue

Update: Just updated to the latest version which state improvement to BT connectivity to Traverse. Well it doesnt! The app can detect the watch but it just cant get connected. The watch kept searching and prompt "Check MobileApp". Frustrating. Bought the Traverse and it can barely kept sync to the iPhone app. You get to sync it the first time (tedious to setup) and you lose the connection after you close and reopens the app. After that you cant sync it anymore or detect the watch. You have to clear your phones Bluetooth (forget) then remove the"old" synced watch and setup as a new watch again to get it sync again. Tiring. Now its seems like a long wait till the next version is available. Total bummer. Suunto needs to fire their app developers!

Connection issues still remain

They said they fixed them, but the bug causing Bluetooth connection issues is still wrecking havoc on syncing to mobile app. Best watch in the world, but cant build a decent iOS app.

IT SYNCS!!!

FINALLY, this update fixed the syncing issue with my Ambit 3 Run without having to uninstall/re-install the app. UPDATE: 1/22/16 DO NOT update if yours is working fine. I made the mistake to update and now it doesnt see my watch (Ambit3 Run). I wont even let me to re-pair the watch, either. UPDATE: re-pairing the watch with the app solved the syncing problem for me. ----------previous review------- This latest update no longer sees my watch (Ambit3 Run). I can only sync my workouts with the cable. Come on, guys.

Garbage. Does not work!

New version, a new achievement in failure. Sensor connects with app, shows 3 seconds of heart rate and then freezes. You exit app and restart and no more heart rate. What a waste. On the other hand, Sports Tracker still works flawlessly. I wasted my money on the Ambit 3 and the smart sensor. It does not connect to the watch and does not connect to the app either. I am using Sports-tracker as a stop-gap solution but will switch to Polar next and never looking back!

Finally!

I can finally recommend my Ambit 3 Run HR again now that the syncing issue has been resolved! Great watch, great app, love the features, and once again I love the ease of syncing via Bluetooth.

1974 clunky app

I swear this app was something created in a garage in 1974. It is clunky. It syncs when it wants, skips moves which are clearly on the watch, and the interface is just plain bad. I would of gave it a 1 star, but I promised my wife I would be nice this year. The hardware on the other hand is flawless. I have beaten this watch to death and it is as accurate as the day I took it out of the package. Hire some 3rd grader to fix this piece of garbage. UPDATE The new app is as bad as the previous one. MIO and SUUNTO should get together and build a phenomenal fitness tracker, and f it up with slip shoddy software. Terrible. UPDATE It synced on the first try, and again on the second try. Nice job. No issues as of now. I wish the app had more capabilities as far as navigation, POIs, etc.

Update not working

This app worked beautifully before the latest update with my ambit 3. With new update it wont sync my data. The watch is connected to my phone but movescount will not connect. PLEASE FIX!!!!

Terrible

If youre a runner who likes to analyze your data after a run, this may be the most frustrating, underperforming app youve ever used.
